Height from ground to wheel arch

Hi

Just fitted Eibach Pro and now I have aprox 66 cm from ground to wheel arch. Before I had 68 cm, hopefully it will drop a little bit more after a couple of miles.

It would be interesting to hear your numbers.
 
If you have an A3 sport edition, I believe you take off 15mm off the height the springs say they will lower your car by.. As the The springs work off of the stock ride height and the sports come 15mm lower than stock.

I would suggest you go for the Eibach sport-line i believe its 40mm in the front lowered and 50mm in the back which works out 35 and 25..

I believe the Eibach pro is 35mm lower isn't it? which works out at 20mm front/back which = the 2cm difference you are seeing.

Mine is not sport edition, it is a Sportback 1.6 TDI (2012) with no special package. They should have dropped the car with 30mm, but I am missing 10mm. But is no big deal, I am pleased with the drop.
 
Oh well, give the springs some time to wear in, you can expect another 10mm drop eventually. You may notice the front right drops first due to your weight being there but eventually they will all wear in
 
So the eibach sportline springs drop more at the back than they do at the front, does this not give a reverse rake?
I have standard sport springs and these sound like they would give just the right drop of around 35mm

ps....^^^ Whats the dancing signature all about?
 
I didn't think they did, but after reading another thread on this forum of someone who bought sportlines, apparently they don't drop the same front to back, don't quote me on it though.

Went and did some detective work and yes they lower more on the front than the back.. This is for the Sportback though.

Yeah let them drop fully, then assess if low enough.
 
Noone considered H&R's? I went for them as i could get them from my local Euro Car Parts supplier. And they give my Sport a great even drop, exactly what i was after.

I opted against the H&R because the 50mm front/rear drop gives a bit of reverse rake. Went for eibach sportlines as the 50mm/40mm drop gives a nice even wheel to arch gap all around. Also eibach aren't as stiff as H&R.
