2.0 TFSI 57 Reg Oil Question

Hi all,

My oil light came on this morning on the way to work, saying it was at minimum. The car was serviced only 4k miles ago, is it normal for it be using oil?

Also what sort of oil will the 2.0 TFSI need and what is recommended?

Audi claim up to 1 litre per 1000 miles could be used although this seems excessive, from what I've gathered some tfsi engines use oil quicker than others. So the short answer is yes, that is a realistic oil use given that you don't know the level it was refilled to on servicing (or if you do, apologies)

As for type of oil I use fully synthetic 5W-30 in mine so probably the same for yours, worth confirming though

Brilliant mate thank you for that, put my mind at rest a lot.

Will get some oil later and keep my eye on it.

Checked and i think it is the 5w 30 oil i need.

Castrol edge 5w30 will be fine

Had a job getting Castro edge so went for some fully synthetic shell stuff.

Came with a handy bag too..... :thumbup:
