Remap question has anbody done it ?

Hi All

I have been given a good price on a remap, I have a 1.6 2003 A3

Wanted to know if anyone has had there 1.6 remapped and if so is it worth me getting it done,

Assuming its a 1.6 fsi non turbo, spend your money on something else nice, IMHO its not worth it.

So would I not notice anything diffrent like fuel consumption ? or better pulling power ?

General consensus is that, you get very little gains which are definitely not worth it for the dosh. Seem to remember reading a thread from a few years ago stating that someone had had a remap on a 2.0FSI and they couldn't see any difference whatsoever, only it being slightly smoother. I looked into this myself because I was wondering about getting my 2.0FSI remapped.

If it was a TFSI, that would be different.
