Hi
Right I'm planing to make my own CAI and just needed to know if this pipe/tube has any purpose.

it's the main one in the picture 'S' shape

Not sure exactly, all I could turn up on Google is that it is a "vent hose" or "cylinder head breather hose." Does the end that connects to the intake pipe attach before or after the MAF? I'm guessing it's before, as in inlet -> vent hose -> MAF -> throttle body. If that is the case, you should have no problem getting rid of it. Just replace it with a breather filter where it attaches to the head. :thumbup:
 
@OCD-A3. Been to Audi garage and it is a vent hose. So as long as there is a hose still connected up I'm all good.
Yes it is before the MAF.

if u saw the stock air intake u would know why, I'm surprised any air gets through at all.
More wanting the noise and then performance exhaust and possible BT in the future.
Would be cheaper and easier to make my own custom one than to get a branded one.
