Hey. My petrol cap cable has recently snapped and was wondering if I could buy the part and fit myself or do I have to take it to Audi ?

Cheers

Petrol cap cable, there's no such thing or do you mean the red plastic part incase of emergency open needed, as the lock for petrol cap cover uses a solenoid locking bar.

I think he means the rubber cable that holds the petrol cap to the car when opened to fill with petrol. If you get me.

Oh of course lol, sorry always thinking technical, sometimes the basic things slip lol, in that case you have to buy it with the cap & its about £20.

I only knew what they were talking about because mines looking worse for wear and my S3 8L one snapped.

Mine snapped last year, new cap with retaining strap required and cost me £22 from Audi....

I am going to glue mine and attach to the metal petrol cap

mines not got one, i'd rather drop the cap than have it swinging against the bodywork
