Hi. Hope some one can help

Just had an isident with my car. Drow the car to a famely dinner without any problems. When it was time to drive home, the engin will not fire up. It is cranking and giving some signes of sparx but thats it.
If I press the trottle to max (floor it) there is more signes, but it will not start!
Did not have my VCDS cable with me so could not log it. Will return tomorrow to see, but i do not think i can do anything but get it towed to Audi.

Since my car is a quattro/Haldex4 and S-tronic/DSG equipped motor, How is it to tow? can it be don safetly?

Thanks for helping.

Oh. If some one have had this before, What was the reasson?

Don't you have recovery under you policy?!?

If not get one off, it's cheaper/safer!

I think I joined in AA for the recovery within anywhere in the UK for only £47/year, it was sometime around March!
Look on UK voucher sites for some offers, I mean online offers where you could join in and then giving them call for recovery, it's much safer to be honest!

By the way is towing legal?!? Never heard anyone doing one!

Farzard.. chap is based in Norway.

Any AWD car should be transported on a flatbed trailer.

Impossible to pinpoint why your car will not start.
As a start, check fuel level and all fuses..

i would check spark plugs and coilpacks first.

Hi guys.
Thanks for your replies.
I have VCDS'ed the car. And my faulty error is.

Fuel rail pressure sensor N267 is short to B+
when I disconect the plug from the sensor I get open cuircets.

In advanced measuring block I get 109.67Bar. And when I try to crank the engine the value get down to 69.78Bar

Regarding the plug/coils this could also be a problem. The car will not start with "start gas" (not sure what you call it)
I have a friend working for Skoda/VW/Audi her in Norway, and he thinks the chain sprocket has come loos from the cams making the timing off. (This is a common promplem on VAG engines with timing chain drive)

Off to Audi tomorrow.
Fingers crossed it is a cheap fix or warranty.

Sorry my bad :(

What don't they have similar sort of recoveries up there!

Good luck :)

Hi Farzad.
Yes we have the recovery from Audi if you follow the service schedule.
But I do not trust the tow truck guy for not scratching my ride.
Had my cuisine bring his flat bed tower today.
I will make the delivery tomorrow.

Right! D day tomorrow.
Delivered the car at Audi this morning. 5hours later they called and told me the engine is f...ed. The chain drive for the timing has come loos making the pistions and valves to kiss.

They will get back to me tomorrow informing me if the only will chang the head or complete engine. Hopefully it is a warranty case to since this has happened before. Fingers crossed.
I'll keep you informed.

Right! Here is my ending story.

Had my ride returned to me today.
Spanking new engine has been installed by Audi on warranty.
Not 100% sure why the reasons for the timing chain fault, but Audi did not take a chance.
I am supper happy so fare and hope this will be my last warranty jobb.
Enjoy the weekend.

glad it got sorted the best possible way.
hope you'll have more luck this time.
