Interior Panel Removal - Guide Wanted

Hi guys,

I've recently purchased an 09 plate 1.9tdi sport and it has few minor things on the interior which are starting to annoy me a bit now.

The main thing that's bothering me are the silver detailing panels (around the gear stick, and the interior door handles) have some scratches on them from the previous owner. I was just wondering if anyone can offer any advice on how to remove these or point me in the direction of a how to guide. I'm planning on either getting these parts sprayed gloss black or getting them vinyl wrapped to tidy it up a bit.

Carefully lever them out. They are a push fit into very strong clips.
Use something that won't scratch. The gear lever leather just pulls up out of the trim and stays on the lever.
