i think I will upgrade to a proper induction kit after the winter but is it worth it one diesel will I get any gains from it?

After a while of uming and arring I decided to upgrade the standard S Line grille to the black edition grille and fog light covers.

I'm really pleased with the transformation from the new grille and fog light covers. Looks much better :)

I've now fitted pressed plates just to give it that euro look :)

Next after the winter I'm going to change the alloys but I just have no idea what to get.. Any ideas guys?

thanks for looking Paul :)

Thanks for the pics, this will be a good build thread. Wheels, mmm, i like the RS6 wheels and also those off the v10 Spyder. :) x

Thanks for the comment Sandra I like the RS6 wheels to but they are off the older shape so would look odd on the newer one. I'm thinking either bbs or Bentley Gtc wheels..

Nice car Paul. The paintwork looks spotless. Where abouts did you get the Black Edition grill from? The stealers?

Personally I'd look at getting it lowered before changing the wheels if that's the route you plan on going down.

Check out the pics thread at the top, im sure you will get some inspiration in there. :) x

haha well I wouldn't say the paintwork is spotless seen as it got attacked by a grittier thee other day :/ it's getting power polished after the winter :)
I got the grille and fog light covers off a guy on eBay who imports parts from Germany. I got messed around for a while as he kept saying the people he imports them from keep letting him down so I thought I was never gonna get them and would have to bite the bullet and buy them from Audi. But he emailed me back and apologised for the Inconvenience and if we did the deal outside of eBay he could give me further discount t so I got the grille and fog light covers for £180.. Bearing in mind the fog light covers are £158 ex vat alone from Audi!
im not sure about lowing it as I do a lot of motorway miles as I work offshore. And going for trips across the continent in an uncomfy car is not good haha

Sounds like you got a really good deal albeit with a bit of a wait.

Don't be put off by the comfort aspect mate. My AP Coilovers feel comfier than the standard Sport suspension I had on before! And a slight drop always makes a car look better, even on standard wheels :rockwoot:

Grill makes it look much better ! This maybe a daft question but did you notice any noise diffrence with the K& N ?

Looks good mate grill makes it looks loads better

It's not a daft question ha cos I thought it would.. But no it doesn't I'm afraid..

Thanks for the comments guys I'm really impressed with the difference the grill and fog lights have made.

Looks nice mate, coming along nicely there! Maybe go all the way and get the led drls installed?
Btw the fog grills are about £50 each.. I just got one brand new as some scum knicked one off mine and that was the S3 one for £46 inc vat

is it difficult to fit the led drl headlights?. I keep trying to get my dad to give me the headlights from his black edition but he's having none of it haha! Hmm that's a really cheap price because on the stoke Audi car parts site the black edition fog light covers were £158 ex vat for the pair

have to agree with ash they are so worth it even though they are a tad pricey, get it done.

I'm very tempted with the led drl headlight conversion when I drove my dads yesterday they set the car off way more! Roughly how much do they cost and where's the best place to buy them?

Hi here's a quick update of what I've had done during my last offshore trip. I decided I was sick of being blinded by the low winters sun so I've had the car sent in for a full window tint. I've had the rears tinted as close to privacy glass as they could get. The fronts are only 10% darker than standard and I've had a limo black tinted sun strip fitted which I know isn't to everybody's taste but it beats been blinded when your caught without ya shades :)

After spending a considerable amount of time looking through the rims thread I've finally made my mind up on a set of wheels so yesterday I went out and bought a set of 18" bbs ch alloys in silver. I'm not fitting them to the car till after the winter but In the meantime I may get they powder coated gunmetal grey..?

Right time for a little update..

I met up with a couple of guys on here for a drive over heartside pass and up to Tan Hill inn.

After a while of sitting staring at the new BBS CH alloys ive bought i decided the colour just wasn't right for what I was looking for. So I got in touch with the wheel specialist in Newcastle who were great to deal with and gave me a great deal.

Car is looking really good :)

Would you mind me asking how much was it for the rear parking senors and is it fitted so its like standard or do you have a separate speaker in the boot for the senors( only asking as my friend as a Mazda and they fitted a speaker in the boot)

He charges £200 usually but you get a discount with being on the forum. erm.. if i remember rightly somewhere near the rear parcel shelf he fitted a little speaker which obviously bleeps when the sensors are activated. hope this helps
