Audi have written on my cars health check, Inlet manifold flap motor and cooling fans eml code fault stored on engine. What does this mean and how do I address the problem? Is repair expensive ? And can this be a reason of poor idling ? Any help would be appreciated.

also, intercooler rubber seals are leaking oil, what is the part no. And where can I buy 4x rubber seals from?

anybody????

What colour are they for the intercooler and are the turbo seals different?

If anyone can send me part no.s for the intercooler rubber seals.. Are they the green ones?

To mike, my inlet manifold flap motor come up as fault code by audi, does it have a fuse that may have gone and stopped it working and will replacing it make it work again?

This photo is the electronic parts catalogue page showing the intercooler pipes and seals :-

The manifold flap motor will probably need replacing because the teeth are plastic and tend to break.

Thanks for the input. I was told 4 rubber seals. Which ones will they be from the diagram? Sorry don't know much lol. Also how much for a new IMF ? Also, what does it do?

Seals are items 8 and 8A and 12(x2)

Ring Stoke Audi and speak to Dave - he will give you all the pricing information.

As you have stated that you do not know much about Audi's then I suggest you do not attempt to repair yourself. Go to a VAG Independent specialist for a quote for fixing.

I very much doubt that the intake manifold flap issue is fuse related. If the fuse had gone then the flap wouldn't work and the engine wouldn't rev in essence.
It's a fairly common fault and I had mine replaced (same error but warning on dash) about 2 years ago and that was about £170 part and labour at an independent
