Hi guys,

Apologies for the newbie question here but I believe that in order to fit a Milltek catback system I shall need my car mapped or coded. Can somebody please confirm what I need? Can this be easily coded via VCDS or do I need a map like Revo Stg 1?

Also, what happens to the butterfly valve controller in the tailpipe of the OEM exhaust? Is it removed completely or just zip tied to the chassis out of the way?

Thanks in advance for your help!

you wont need mapping, you would benefit from it

no coding required, the mapping cannot be done via vcds

i belive the butterfly valve is vacuum operated so can be removed completely or you can modify your milltek to accommodate it your choice

Thanks PH1L - which forces the question - what does the butterfly valve do, and what is it's advantage? Assume Milltek alteration would be difficult.

Wondered if it was a quick code in VCDS thats all, understand mapping cannot be done via VCDS. Thanks!

cant really see much advantage in it tbh other than an annoying tick haha

no coding required to remove the valve its not connected to anything afaik
