Hey there, recently took delivery of my '62' A3 2.0TDi 140 Black Edition.

I've always been a fan of the original rotar alloys that come on all Black Edition models but feel they'd look nicer in Matte Black.
There is a black version that comes on the RS3 but that has Red outer inserts. Wouldn't be appropriate for my car.
I really wanted mine Matte Black with the original silver outer inserts. I thought about spraying them but that would be costly.
I came across plasti dip from other members on this forum and decided to give it a shot.

Anyway, here's how it turned out. Comments and feedback would be great!

Prefer the standard look myself, but each to their own mate.

Not my cuppa, maybe with S3 body kit and some coilovers, it may look better.

But a cracking effort and keep up the moddin' :)

Do you know if plasti dip comes in white by the way?

Yeah would like much better on an S3, but as it came as an S-Line, the S3 conversion seems costly!

Coilovers are coming soon hopefully.

As far as I know, i've seen Orange, Blue, Matt and Gloss Black, Red and yes WHITE! www.plastidip.co.uk

Yes ofcourse.

Looks pretty good, needs lowering for sure. Almost the same styling as Digzz.

I've done my grille in the matt black plasti dip and it's excellent. I think it does come in white put it's a brush and tin job, not a spray at the moment!

I saw Digzz's car in the flesh and thought it looked great! However, his are replicas and glossy black.
This was a cheap way to see how they'd turn out as black without potentially having a £1000+ bill from Audi when I give it back in 2 or so years!
