How to remove rounded screw, number plate light?

Well I just managed to strip one of the screws in the numberplate even after being as careful as I could

Id very much appreciate some advice on how to now remove said screw?

ive seen a lot of people who have had the problem but couldn't find any method of removing it

Hows' about drilling it out ?

Get a tap and die set and put a left-handed small thread in it, then screw in a LH screw until it catches and undoes the rounded screw.

Guess it's the same as an 'easy out' kit.

Drill it out

Alternatively try to a straight screwdriver wedged in behind the light to effectively pry it out, then try unscrewing it with some sort of screwdriver/hex head

Thanks guys. Just managed to get it out now. Only to find I have been sent two right hand number plate lights so the contacts dont line up on the left hand side.

Why can nothing ever go smoothly!
