car is pulling to the left

noticed my car was pulling to the left, so took in alignment. had a 4 wheel alignment and it still pulls to the left. i spoke to the garage and they told me that due to changing the oem springs and dropping it, this may be the case and always pull.

is this correct ? or should i take in somewhere else? ( i used a independent i normally used for bit i can't do). it naff's me off, especially having a fbmsw

Try swapping tyres around that sometimes causes it. Changing springs shouldn't make any diffrence! Tyre pressures ok?

yep, tyre pressures are spot on. I'll try a wheel swap but not sure how this would solve the issue?

Might sound daft but sometimes tread depth and pattern wear cause it to pull! Since u swapped springs are they all located properly and not one of them is sitting wrong causing it to be higher or lower on one corner

Aye your cars looking mint lad. Was toying with the idea of the RS grill if I keep the S3. Dont know what Im gonna do as I got that part-time project management job I was after. See what the New Year brings though. You coming up my way soon??

I had an issue after I had my wishbones, springs and alloys changed where I wanted to have the car re-aligned (was being over precarious) so I dropped the car into ATS who apparently spent 2 hours on the car, when I went back to get it they then gave it back to me saying they can't do it becuase the springs weren't fitted properly? They also made a mess of it and my steering wheel now had to be held at 50 degrees to the left in order for me to drive straight down the road!? I knew the springs were fine as I would have felt something off but still went back to the garage who fitted it, checked it all over and they told me that ATS were telling porkies because it wasn't a standard setup anymore (springs too low and alloys too big)
anyway was then recommended to go to a place called Elite Alloys as they deal with modified cars and within an hour they sorted out the alignment and camber and the car is now driving sweet!

Get the car looked at by a proper alignment specialist

You need to get it on a Hunter machine Robby boy. Unless you have had this already done. I used a place in Oldham for my Mk5 golf Gt as it scrubbed a set of rears out in under 10k miles. Massive saw toothing on the inside of the tread

I was told the car was not set up properly from the factory even after VW refused to do anything under warranty they told me to buy different tyres TWONKS.

I am sure a good 4 wheel aligner on a hunter machine would sort it.

Just off the M60 a the Oldham turn off.

I think they charged a flat fee for the checks to be done and then depending on how many adjustments have to be made I.e. camber, toe etc they charge for each of these on top.

Not cheap, about a ton if I recall but solved my issues and was cheaper than replacing rear tyres once a year !
