All the websites I can find list 581 bulbs for the S3.
I can see that whats in there is not one of those.
They are some kind of 24w bulb (PY?)
Can someone link me to some silver replacements.
I don't want LED.

I got these, but never actually fitted them (have to take out the arch liner etc... can't be bothered.

They won't fit mine. They are 581s.
I have the post facelift model 2009.

Hmm, can only search my own posts back to Jan 2012, and the thread I'm after would have been more like July 2011. I could search for the thread, but I only remember it was about LED DRLs, which won't narrow the search much.

go to any VW dealer. They are off the MKVI and are phillips silver vision. See thread by Warren_S3. He detailed this mod. Of note, I will tell you that my bulbs have lost most of the silver coating and they are back to amber now. It pretty much sucks because they were pretty expensive

I think you can reach it from the engine bay on the facelift lights.

mine was pre facelift and i bought the silver bulbs and did the arch liner, as for after the face lift i think paula bought some bmw bulbs to fit
