Parking Aid Help Please

Ok so I have s tronic gearbox, put into reverse gear and I get the engage beep, all good, if you get the engage beep no fault in the system so the book says but tonight I get the engage beep then a constant tone the same one as if you where about to hit something yet nothing behind me? Any idea?
 
Me too and its getting on my tits because its intermittant
 
Wasn't raining each time you get the error with a constant tone? Friends aftermarket parking kit he had fitted for his Merc does that. Something to do with the type of reversing sensors. Pretty pants going off in the rain if you ask me!
 
Thats a sign of either a sensor fault which is most likely or module problem, needs a scan tbh to be more sure of the problem.
