Remove Key From Ignition... And wait

When I remove the key from the ignition, it can take around 5 seconds for the radio to turn off and the doors to unlock, lights turn off etc. I originally thought it was the ignition switch being iffy, but I've noticed that by having the radio off before removing the key means the car unlocks straight away...

Any ideas? Seems a fault with the radio?

Just also thought of something that happened the other day... Radio off, key out the ignition, lights went off/doors unlocked etc and radio came on... Odd

Are they known to have ignition barrel faults? I wondering if its a fault with this as it would explain why the doors take a while to unlock and it takes a while for the lights to turn off.
