Hi All

Got another problem with my A3 2.0 TDI DSG.

Was driving on the M60 at 70 with cruise control on. Felt a vibration from the front somewhere, so i disengaged CC and the vibration went. As soon as I put the accelerator down, I felt the vibration again, through the pedal...now I cant tell if it was a bad road surface or the car...

Prognosis: dropped it in neutral at that speed to see if it was the bearing...nope as the sound went...recently, I've had the NSF CV gaitor changed and both fron wishbone bushes....to be honest the car hasnt been the same since I got this work done...

Im also getting some knocking sound at the back somewhere...which I cant pinpoint...any ideas??

Cheers

do you get knocking noise while braking or reversing mine is doing knocking noise but when i have someone look at it it doesnt make noise i wanted to.

annoyyying! ?

I took it to a VAG specialist who couldnt find the noise. I get the knocking at slow speeds and the vibration at higher speeds....hmmm what did you pay to have your inner CV joint done?

Has anyone had wishbone bushes replaced before?

My total was £250 but that was getting other stuff done to. Would think just the inner cv would be about £180/200

YUP inner CV joint...couldnt seem to find this part on its own so ended up getting the whole drive shaft for that side....thanks shariain...I picked one up from the scrappys in the end...
