hi all

my 2005 audi a3 v6 quattro face lift is due its haldex oil changing , its just hit 60000 miles , but when i went through the service

history there is no record of having it done at all , so i was going to have the filter done at the same time.

but on reading through the posts there is different types gen1 and a gen2 , which one would mine be, my husband will be doing this

for me but a gen 2 does not have a fillter i think. i have brought a spanner but not shure if i now need it.

thanks Donna

mines a 57 plate and it has a gen 2, cost me 70 quid for audi to change the haldex oil

thanks guys if mine is a gen 2 does that mean i dont replace the fillter for the haldex

Nope gen2 requires filter and oil change every 38k miles. It's an awkward job. Hope he's got the 'special' kinked spanner.
I used an indy to do my Gen4 which just requires oil. All in it cost £38 incl vat.
