Nox sensor fixing itself ...... :-/

H every iMovie got a a3 2.0 fsi. Bought it about 6 weeks ago. Now the engine management light has come on so took it back it back to the garage. He run the diagnosis and confirmed its the nox sensor..

now he's saying run the car on super unleaded for 3 months and the fault will clear itself. He has been told this by Audi uk!

I've been told by a mechanic I know we'll that when its gone it gone.

Who do I believe. Your help would be appreciated

Sounds like he's trying to fob you off. If it fails once, its sure to fail again. Get them to fix it under warranty (you get 3 months warranty by law, it's a bonus if they offered you extra). He may be trying to push it past the 3 month mark so he can charge you (if you didn't get extended warranty)
