I've got an A3 2.0 TDI 55-plate with 70,000 miles on the clock. In the past couple of months when doing a long journey the car has gone into limp mode (both times on a motorway) which I believe is due to the turbo and sticky vanes. In addition to this there's an odd rattling noise when the engine gets hot and i'm sure there's an issue with the clutch as it has been making squeaking noises.
With all these issues i'm considering just part-ex'ing it (if I can) and getting a newer model - am I crazy or should I just get the car fixed? It's surely going to cost £1000+ to get these things fixed (plus it's due a service and MOT at the end of the year) and it'd be much easier just to trade it in now if I can.
Any advice appreciated!
