Hi guys, Hope you can help me with a question that you have probably answered many times before.

I've got a 54 reg 2005 sportback 2.0tdi which has just been diagnosed with the dreaded porous head syndrome. I was just wondering what and if there is any damage caused to the engine if you continue to drive it with this problem, short term or log term as I need to either save the cash to replace her or repair her

Try using some K-Seal.

Apparently it works.

From what I've read before this was a VAG free fix. Not sure if it still applies now though, Go and ask an Audi dealer for a more definitive answer.

K seal won't work, tried this in my old 05 8P1.

If you keep driving, it will continue to get worse and use more water.

Either fix it or trade it in that's what i did.

Audi never admitted the problem - no free fix !
