Hi guys and gals, been a while since Ive been on here, just hvent had the time but I wanted to ask something. Over the past few months Ive nearly been had twice by some random insurance job wannabe who just slams their breaks on for no reason wanting you to plow into the back of them.
I have bought one of those ebay in car DVD recorders and in all fairness its great, nice HD picture, ready numberplates nice and clearly too but the issue is the battery. It has a power cable for the lighter but I dont like having wires hanging around or even visable.
I need to find a wire that becomes live on ignition as the camera has an auto record on detecting power feature.
My lighter socket is constantly live, not sure if it should be but it is.
I was thinking most cars have the live on ignition going to the head unit but again I can turn my RNS-E on when the keys arent in the ignition so it made me wonder.
I guess what Im asking is how can I wire it up?

Thanks
Chris
