Updating RNS-E

Was thinking of updating the RNS-E in the A3, I have RNS-E in the car but it dates from 2005 as do the discs.
Was thinking of updating to the latest glossy LED version, then selling my old one to recoup some of the outlay.
Any issue with the upgrade or would it just be plug and play, and is the LED worth it?
 
Easy upgrade for you and yes the LED is worth it as its also a faster processor plus it can take the faster and bigger capacity SD cards.

You will probably need to have the coding of the unit checked once you've installed it though as the units are coded as well as the car...
