Oil type?

Hey guys,

I have tried a search but there are so may variations of answers to my question, starting to melt my head......

A3 2008, tdi 140
60000 ish miles
only need to top up my oil a bit, not sure what the previous garage put in!

Any ideas what I should use to top up?

Oh I'm going away in her tomorrow so need to do it today, maybe halfrauds?

I use castrol edge 5w-30, You don't want to be mixing oils mate I would get an oil change if you don't know what the last garage put in that way uve got clean oil and you know whats in there when it's time to top up, I got an oil and filter change a couple of weeks ago
for less than what it costs to buy 4 litres from halfords no brainer really!

Get an oil change with Castrol Edge 5W-40 £35 from Asda for 4L!!!

use this link, if your last service was at a dealer they would have used quantum, platinum would prob have been used on a fixed interval service or longlife 3 oil used on a longlife service
