Hi Guys,
I'm a newbie to Audi-Sport.net :)
I have had my CRDT tuning box for about 3 -4 weeks now and thought I should write a review
Firstly the service from DTUK has been excellant -Andrew and the team have been great in answering any questions or any concerns
It all started when I decided to upgrade the power output of my Audi A3 Quattro Tdi - in standard form it is a great car but I wanted to get better mileage out of the engine and make the car more driveable
I Initially contacted many different remap specialists and was told that the ECU would require removal to be remapped - which I really didn't like the idea of
Viezu claimed that my ECU was a PPD even though I told them it was a common Rail!
I went to a REVO Technik reseller around my area - they needed to read my ECU and then work out if they could remap it - I'm still waiting to hear back from them - something tells me that they won't be in contact - anyway I gave up waiting and contacted Andrew @DTUK
After chatting to Andrew and looking at many of the positive testimonials I decided to give it a try.
Installaion of the device was easy enough a bit tricky to get to the Turbo MAF plug but if your a competent home mechanic it should be easy enough if your have a A4 - logitudinal engines are easier to install on:)
The A3 is a little tight to work on - try changing a light bulb!
Once installed I left the device on the standard map 1 and 10 % boost setting to begin with and took the car out for a test drive
First impressions - wow its a different car the power and torque was available all the way to the 4.5K what a transformation it performs like a petrol engine and really has some useable power!
I then decided to play about with the settings so I tried map 2 with 10% boost - not as smooth as map1 but felt more torquey
I am currentley running map2 +20% this is my favorite setting the car goes like a rocket and gives great economy too
I managed to achieve 61.8mpg on a cruise upto manchester!
Map 3 I found to be the most torquey overall I prefer Map 2 +20%
I have not tried map 4 yet but have been told that it is only increased fueling but I'm guessing the boost settings allow for the extra boost - I need to confirm this with Andrew
I can also confirm that the quality of the hardware is really good the box is well made the loom is made to a very high standard also

Overall I am very impressed with the unit a great purchase - and it has completely changed my opinion on tuning boxes
I have driven many Audi's that have been remapped and can't really tell the difference between the tuning box and remap
I wish I had done it sooner!
another good point is that the hardware is mine to use wherever I want!
A remap is just thin air - I cannot use it to another car etc!

Thanks again DTUK
