    Code on 312mm 2009 Audi A3 170PS CR 8PA CBAB Caliper Carriers....

    Hi,

Nirro Ltd sent me, after I made it CLEAR I needed 312mm carriers to upgrade the 288mm discs on a 2009 Audi A3 140PS CR 8PA CBAB...The code on the ones they sent me had 801...the ones on the car also had 801...I believe to bloke I spoke to at Nirro said the code on the Carriers he thinks are 312mm (25mm) was 740...are these 312mm 2009 Audi A3 170PS CR 8PA Carriers...he said the groove measured a little over 25mm so this sounds right...but not sure about these guys, as they sent me the same damn carriers I already have despite making it crystal clear I needed 312mm to do the upgrade...I also heard I can use VW MK5 carriers? Any help is great appreciated.
    cheers

to do the 312mm upgrade you do not need new calipers, the standard ones will work. i think you may need new carriers but im not 100% sure on that part.

yeah, sorry, sometimes I put caliper when I mean carrier, I know I can use my OEM carriers...I just nee the discs, pads and carriers, but I want to make sure the code on the 2009 170 CS carriers is 740 before the numptys at Nirro send them out...I don't want to get the WRONG carriers again..and they are so gruff about it, like it all my fault they sent me the wrong carriers...

Can anyone confirm what the numbers embossed onto the top of the carrier are?
Would these carriers work on my A3 Quattro? 312mmAudiA4CaliperCarrier.jpg
