VCDS Fault Code 00716 Help !

Hi,

I have a fault code on VCDS and I can't seem to find where the problem lies.

My A/C and Heating work perfectly so I am not sure what this fault refers to.

Below is a copy of the code.

Hopefully I'm not stating the obvious, but this flap is what changes between recirculating the air in the cabin and drawing in fresh air from outside. You will still get hot and cold air as requested, you just won't be able to change the source. Replacing this motor is most likely going to require pulling the dash out.

There is also an adaptation you can run in Vag-com, but I don't think it is going to help in this situation.

Hi guys, I get the same error. Can the flap be replaced without pulling out the dashboard?

I also see that a basic adaptation could help here?

Try basic adaptation first just incase car has to relearn positioning .
I know when i fitted the Q3 Ac unit into my petrol S3 8p i had to do this .
If u lool for Q3 Ac retrofit post it does tell you am sure how to apply this
