Just got a full set of discs and pads for a 2007 2.0ltr sportback

the price they quoted was £199.20
BUT
if you do a click and collect from euro car spares

the price came down to £137.45

What a saving wowowowow.

and these are exactly the same as original equpment. ie. Pagid.

Hi Box
great price but are they the bigger discs?

mine are

312 x 25 fronts
255 x 10 rears

Ah I didn't check that, the bigger disks are about £3 so another £6 on the fronts so the pricing is pretty big

Also did you try any discount codes on ECP ?

HI the lower price was with the discount code.
the code is "BIGDEAL31"
IT SAVED ME £61.75 not to be sniffed at lol.

what other tools will i need to do the job

I have got the caliper rewind tool
got break pads and discs

but i do not want to get to the point where i need a different tool than i have?

is there a special tool for removing the calipers? or is it just a hex drive?

hoping to do this weekend so quick answers would be appreciated

many thanks

bing

Only other tools you should need are 13,15,17 spanners and/or sockets, hammer, pry bar and an allen key for disc removal

Ok thanks for the info guys.
gonna have a go the weekend
cheers

Glad i just found this thread, rear brakes and pads sorted for £52 all pagid! TPS wanted £113.60 for rear discs and pads!

we fit pagid discs at my workshop the discs are excellent, there zinc coated so there dont rust but pads are not as good as original equipment have had a few isssues with the pads.would recomend pagid discs with ate pads that are oe if purchasing from eurocar parts.i find this the best combination to fit.
