Hi Guys

Does anyone know much about what alloys you can have that doesnt affect insurance, if that make sense. :uhm:

I think most audi come with alloys as standard, agreed ?

So as long as i get audi alloys nomatter for what partical audi or size (within reason) this should not affect my insurance?

also is it possible to be sneaky and get audi replicas? :ninja: will they ever know...

thanks

Thing to remember about insurance companies is that they will try to screw you for whatever reason. If you change wheel size from standard spec let's say from 18" to 19" then quite possibly they (it is in fact) will class it as a modification and expect you to tell them (prior to a claim)

yep they're bad

upgrade will make your A3 look top banana

Thing is, i cant change then till end of this year

so driving round in shame till then :ermm:

but at least i got plenty of time to decide on which wheel to get haha.

thanks for the advice,

your still drivin a great car in the A3, so things are not too bad

You need to be careful. Any wheels which were not factory fitted are therefore modifications so need declaring to the insurers. A decent specialist insurer would not charge any extra for an alloy wheel change but be aware that some insurers may charge or even refuse to insure a modified car.
