There was a report on R2 the other day,where a car magazine ( I think Autoexpress ) did an investigation into servicing your car in France.
One example they stated was an Audi (model not specified) which was serviced at a French Audi dealer for around 1/3 of the cost of a UK dealer.
The owner of the car was able to take the ferry,get the car serviced,have a nice meal and fill it with cheap booze for less than he would have paid for the service alone in the UK !
