After driving around last night with my head lights on (naturally) in our beautiful summer rain, I noticed a little condensation had built up on the inside of both headlamps

By searching I've found this is fairly common on A4s, 8L A3s and even 8P A3s with xenon head lamps - I gather the units aren't sealed and are in fact vented, which allows moisture in under some circumstances.... Apparently as long as it dries out it's perfectly normal.... Thing is I could find nothing about my particular car - 2006 8P A3 without xenons. Are these particular headlamps vented too? If so I guess there's nothing to worry about.... Anyone know? Thanks as always

Yes it happens with the A3. Not too much to worry about. As soon as it as it stops raining......then turn the headlights on and drive around a bit. When the lamps heat up, it will dry out the inside and return to normal. Good luck.

It'll need to stop raining long enough first then.... Maybe next March eh.

Cheers mate :)
