There is a little plastic latch underneath the front of the lid of the arm rest which just broke off in my hand! Anyone know if I can get a preplacement lid or am I looking at buying a complete unit?

No you can get the lid, but there are a few different types. I had a hell of a job getting the correct lid. In the end I took the bl66dy arm rest out altogether to get the part number off it, so that we could get the correct lid. I paid about £35/£40 I think but I get really good discount. Of course if its a leather one you're looking at over £100
Lift the lid and gently but firmly squeeze together the two plastic hinge arms and the lid will lift off.
All you do then is get the part number off it and order one (or check on ebay)

I think it was roughly £80 for leather armrest lid for mine still haven't bought it yet though just used velcro for now lol.
