Hi all...

i need to get new DMF for my dsg... and i have been told i need to replace the clutch at the same time?
i cant seem to find where to buy the dmf and clutch kit for the dsg... can anyone direct me to a few different sites?

mine is a 53plate audi a3 dsg.

Have you tried Eurocarparts?
Not sure about having to replace the clutch at the same time with DSG.

Have a look on eurocarparts, they usually have some sort of discount code for Clutch and DMF parts. Im not familiar with the DSG box but it's common practise to replace both parts to save yourself some money on the labour, I was told to do the same with my BMW.

I have read some were that the clutch is ok but the DMF can warp on earlier models
Might be a good reason to upgrade to stronger units from HPA Motorsport in Canada.
This if you plan to get more power

I got the same issue.. Needs new DMF but Does the DSG clutch pack need to be replaced at the same time?

have been told the clutch pack swap is a job that only a few specialists or the steelers can do, and it's likely to be expensive.

Can anyone advise on how long do the original clutch packs last?

Cheers

On DSG you just replace the flywheel

Clutch kit and flywheel applies to manual gearboxes

My DSG flywheel was around £570 from TPS just for the part

As said above my mate has replaced just his dmf and not his clutch on his dsg

Ok thanks all..

Final question can the DMF being on its way out cause a stutter when pulling up a hill In 4/5/6 gear or in any High torque situation...

So the flywheel slips not the clutch / gearbox?

Noob question but it seems every technician I talk to about it seems to have a different opinion.

Cheers

The way I diagnose mine is knock/rattle on idle with box in N that gets worse over time
