Just been driving my car and it started pluming out white smoke, apparently my partner had the oil light on last week and she filled it up with three litres of oil, have just checked the oil and there's way too much in there so i'm guessing this is the cause? I've just plugged it into VCDS and i've got one Engine Malfunction code 004234:
"1 Fault Found:004243 - Bank 1; Fuel Measuring System 2
P1093 - 008 - Malfunction - Intermittent
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00101000
Fault Priority: 2
Fault Frequency: 1
Mileage: 49471 km
Time Indication: 0
Date: 2012.05.13
Time: 14:32:24
Freeze Frame:
RPM: 4290 /min
Load: 8.2 %
Speed: 103.0 km/h
Temperature: 86.0°C
Temperature: 36.0°C
Absolute Pres.: 1020.0 mbar
Voltage: 14.224 V
Readiness: 0000 0000"
The Rosstek wiki however suggests its something to do with the fuel pump 17501/P1093/004243 - Ross-Tech Wiki, I've got an uprated fuel pump so this had me a little scared⦠checked the cam follower 3k miles ago and was fine, do you think it could just be due to there being too much oil in the system and it just needs to be drained out?
