    3.2 V6 VVT Attack + DSG remap = 0-60mph in 4.92 seconds

    Hi Everyone

Last week when it finally dried up (for an afternoon) we managed to get some numbers from an R32 mk5 running our VVT Attack and DSG software and compare them to a standard tune. We flashed the car back to standard in order to perform the tests. Obviously this setup is the same as an Audi with a 3.2 in it and the figures would be very similar.

The DSG is great for these tests as it executes a perfect (or at least the same) launch every single time and the numbers we were getting back confirmed this.

We are extremely pleased to see that a sub 5 second time is possible with our software and that the real road performance is very noticeable.

    Enjoy!

Would be interesting to comapre this Stage 1 R32 with a Stage 1 S3 with DSG. Dont think there would be much in it.

I have done a fair bit of reading up on this vvt attack stuff and most don't believe the claims, I myself found it hard to believe but I was considering getting it done. What are everyone elses opinion on their power claims before I phone Morgan at Vagcheck( he is local)?

    Hi Jason

We understand there has been a some controversy surrounding the VVT Attack software and for good reason, no one else in the market is doing anything like it.

We have stopped posting dyno figures as they always seem to raise the same issues and arguments which is why we are starting to post 0-60 videos. We can do this pretty accurately with DSG as it takes the human error part out of the equation.

If you have any doubts then feel free to try it and if you are unhappy we'll flash it back to standard and give you a refund.

On another note we have built a race car using the R32 engine and so far the response from the race community has been astounding, so much so that we are now looking to build two A3 3.2 race cars. We'll be sure to up date the forum with more details when they're available.

Because if my concerns I have booked in at mega 4 for a revo remap, I searched the internet and read up all I could. There appears to be more non bwlievers than anything.

II myself find it hard to believe such gains are possible. I think its best that I call you and we can discuss it.

The only people who have given negative feedback are people who haven't tried it and based it purely on the notion that "they find it hard to believe". We don't make these numbers up and we certainly don't inflate any dyno figures on any of our other maps so we have no need to do it on this map. The fact is that we see a significant gain through adjusting the Variable Valve Timing on these engines, something that no other tuner is doing, or can do as far as we know. The number of VVT Attack maps we have done runs into the hundreds now so we have a lot of happy customers.

Like I said, we're very happy to give you a refund if you're not happy with the result. Alternatively, have the REVO map done and see if you can match or beat our 0-60 time.

Feel free to call us to discuss or ask any more questions.

What do you offer for the manual 3.2? And what kind of figures? I'm currently looking at shark and Amd stage one, but this does sound very appealing. Do you have a dealer based in the south east?

    I wouldn't compare S3 / Golf R in this thread, its for V6 owners.

"VVT Attack" - What is it? Just a remap & software recode?

The R32 published time is 6.2 and the A3 6.2 to 6.5 - in the video you are using launch control and ESP off, in other words pushing it to its maximum to get the best figures. I have used LC only twice so far.

How does it perform in normal conditions when you're in D mode, ESP on? Have you done a 0-60 on that? Please tell me the figures.

I've had no luck at all with any remap on the 3.2, but from what I am reading I do believe you, it just seems that to achieve any form of result you have to strain the car parts and push the software to its limit.

So I'd like to know more...

Ok so where would I have to go and how much is just the remap if I were to take you up on this offer? I'm based in Berkshire and have the car booked in at mega 4 in surrey on the 26th of this month for the Revo map.

    Hi Willosdad

For the manual we offer the VVT Attack engine remap. In theory you would be able achieve the same time and performance as the DSG but its a bit more dependent on your driving ability.

We don't currently have a dealer in the South East. If you could recommend a VAG specialist then we could look at setting them up. We like to do it on a referral basis as we know that members of forums are generally enthusiasts and are likely to know of someone good in their area.

The VVT Attack is a software remap. It was something Custom-Code developed originally for the 3.2 NA engine. Traditionally there were very little gains to be had from this engine by getting it remapped as is normally the case with naturally aspirated engines. However we found a way to adjust the maps that control the VVT (variable valve timing). Through this we were able to see some substantial gains from the 3.2 engine.

The most common question we get when we explain that to people is, "why didn't VW/Audi do that straight from the factory?". The reason is EU emission regulations. These are very strict especially on the bigger engines, much more stringent than an MOT test.

We don't do any testing with ESP on as we find it too limiting.

If an engine is making more power and revving higher then the parts are under more strain, anyone who tells you different is not telling the truth, however there is a balance to be struck from gaining more power and still maintaining good reliability. We perform all of these tests with our maps and always go for a good balance.
The 3.2 engine is a very strong engine and is highly under stressed as standard. With forced induction these engines are capable of 650 bhp so trust us when we say our VVT Attack map will not cause any significant strain or damage to the engine. If anything the it runs cleaner.

    Hi Jason

Your closest Custom-Code agent would most likely be in Bristol. The VVT Attack remap is £450 including vat. This is a custom Phase 2 map, so if you have any mods then we would account for those too.

I will PM you the phone number of the agent.
