RNS-E map zoom issue?

hi all fitted a newer model LED RNS-E in my A3 yesterday, having a little play with it and with the nab map display it stays zoomed at 6miles away view, i can zoom in to how i want it but when i got off the screen it reverts back to 6 miles, does anyone know how i can get it to stay zoomed in closer?
