    North east specialists?

    Hi Guys

    After the purchase of my A3 yesterday i need to get the cam belt and water pump done could anyone recommend somewhere around Newcastle area? Iv had a quick search but didn't see anything for the north east.

    Try Vasstech in north allerton mate. They do cam belt and water pump change for £330 INC Vat.

    thanks guys, il give Addington Motor a ring next week to check out what they would charge but £330 sounds pretty good to me if its that.

    has anyone tried Swift motor engineering? my step dads just said about these guys, his friend uses them for his VW golf

    They will use whatever you ask them to.

    I had a lot of work on an old Corrado done by those guys and I even free issued a sunroof cartridge from a breakers for them to fit. Saved me a fortune, many garages won`t be this flexible.
    You see some nice metal in there, old Porsches, M cars etc..which is a good indicator of some ones reputation.

    Not used them for a good while but a mate of mine had work carried out on his C4S and spoke highly of them.

    I am sure Swift are also a reputable outfit but I dont have personal first hand experience with them to give a recommendation.

    Rang swift and addington today, £335 from swift cam belt, all tentioners and water pump same for addington was £410 and £360 for non Audi parts. so booked into Swift for next Saturday then don't have to worry about that for another 5years
