Hey,

Get my brand new S3 in about 2 weeks :)

Now usually when I get a new car I just ring my current insurer and change it over to the new vehicle. This time however being close to my policy starting (March renewal), I have the choice to shop around.

Anyone fancy sharing their premium and maybe some basic info?

30 year old male, 6 years no claims paying £450 fully comp on a 2.0tdi 04 A3 sport.

Cheers,

Tom

I feel like I'm getting robbed. My details are exactly the same as the OP's and I pay £750 for 2.0 TDI 3dr. And that was with shopping around. They must not like my postcode

26 year old male, fully comp, 4 years no claims, car parked down drive, 59reg A3 TDI (140) Black Edition, £336 and I'm insured with LV

Your post code is probably the second biggest factor.

Mine bout 550 but includes breakdown too (car details in sig).

26 male, 8 years ncb protected, 2004 tdi. £300 fully comp with 22yr old g/f. Admiral! Sound very cheap compared to others!!!

I'm 32 with 9 years ncb, in a rubbish post code, and pay £1100 on the 3.2. That's with my missus named, 8k a year, and an sp30 from 4 years ago.

31 years old, 2 years NCB - £609 comp. on the RS3 (when it finally turns up!).. My current insurance was free :)

Just to add - if you got more than one car in your household, Admiral multicar is well worth a look!

19 years old, 2 years NCB. Roughly £2000 through admiral.

 I am getting spanked big time. Don't feel so bad doing 3 times the milage I'm insured for now

22, 0 NCB, good postcode: £1000 on a 2.0TDI (170) Quattro Black Edition with 25 and 32 year old named drivers.

23, Full 6 years NCB, Audi A3 1.8Tfsi (2012), goodish postcode, park on road, Direct Line - £545

I do however have an Onboard HD CCTV system and a Scorpion Tracker system (These haven't reduced my premium as my car isn't over £25k, it's purely for my benefit). They will however help with some insurers/cars.

25 4 years ncb , lady who's 22 both got an sp30 and paying about 2k . Makes me cry when I think about it

34 with 11 yrs ncb. paying 400 with wife on the policy ( also having kids puts premium up) parked on a drive in a London postcode and zero excess. also got free yrs roadside with sainsburys!

No seriously all fairly meaningless unless you have very similar postcodes.

Insurance over here is sooo much more expensive than the mainland

Well, not exactly relevant to the OP... But try being 33 with no claims and paying $159 Canadian ( probably a bit over 100 pounds) every month... And that's with a discount for having my house insured with them too. Normally it's over $200 every month...

34 Been driving 3 years no claims 515 a year if u put your wives name on the car it knocks the insurance down 100 quid ,well did for me
