Knocking sound on full left lock

As title, any ideas? Only started yesterday and only when on full left lock so obviously at low speeds only!

​Possible a gater issue. :)
 
sounds like the symptom of a driveshaft outer cv joint. Where are you located? If your anywhere near skipton in North Yorkshire we could take a look for you. If not any workshop should be able to easily diagnose the fault.

Hmmmm really? I had the cv gaiter replaced at mot (only 6 months ago!).

The car is quite low, would this lead to excessive gaiter wear?

the gaiter only covers the joint. If it's the joint thats worn/ knocking that will need replacing as well. Low cars do go through C.V joints quicker than normal.

Ok cool many thanks will get it checked this week.
 
Also racks have been known to cause the same issue usually only on left full lock, hence audi have a plentiful supply of the buggers always.
 
My mechanic looked at it last week, said its the outer cv joint, getting it done this week.
