Hi
I was wondering if anyone can help both of the above lights come on intermitantly when Im driving, I have a 2006 A3 sportback 2.0TDi Sport. Took it to Audi specalist in Manchester who said it was a R/N/S ABS sensor price agreed and then rings me up later to say its the wheel bearing Long story short and £300 later for bearing labour and sensor driving home after being assured all well lights come on first flickinh then full time.

At wits end any ideas?

Cheers

Darren

Hi mate, cant help you with the lights but would be interested who the audi specialist in manchester was?!

Yeah no problem Auto Deutch recommended by mate at work

I have been there before for a diagnostic. Chased the guy a few times for a part I needed and ended up going somewhere else because he never got back to me. Ive also recently had both front suspension bushes done and fitted by Vag Technik in Eccles, they got the parts and done the work £160 all in, compared to Cheshire German Specialists (who also pop up when you google for 'audi specialists manchester') who qouted me £260!

I had an ESP intermittent light fault a while back. Seven trips to Audi later they still hadn't got to the bottom of it. Ended up with them for over a week with their master technician driving it to a from work to sus it out but still had no joy. They said it was like a ghost fault as even when the fault light and dash warning were on it didn't appear in vag and didn't log any fault. Long story short, they ripped out half the interior and replaced the entire wiring loom. It's been fine since. This may not be your problem but something to bear in mind.

Thanks for the advice re different garages I usually go to Sale Audi which is spot on.

Re the wiring loomany idea as to how much it cost to replace and put right just giving me an idea alreay £300 down with MOT booked for friday and its not going to pass with the lights on expecting the worse

Sorry mate I have no idea. Mine was done with the car still under warranty. Good luck in getting it sorted, hope it's not too expensive.
