ok so i should have the wheel on this week fingers crossed!

but on the side i got carried away a bit with the red dye so i decided to keep with the colour theme and dye my mats to match the red in the car...

here are the mats before, OEM A3 mats:

I started with the rear mats as a tester but i didnt get any pics... so once i was happy with them i moved onto the letters on the front mats:

and then i finished off the complete mat piping...

really pleased with how they came out... its a shame you can't buy the mats like this in red from the dealers... would have saved me hours of work!

Major Update! The Wheel is FITTED!!!!

so i managed to find a MY11 airbag, the loom and the s-line badge all for only £145! i quickly secured it and have been waiting all week for it to turn up and this morning it came that brings the total of the install to £315!

So here it is installed in the car (excuse the dirt on the carpets, the weather is horrible down south) also you can see the red carpets in the car

Looking Good dude. Keep up with the good work.

I see you have a TT gear knob too, isit just a matter of unscrewing the old gear knob and screw i the new?

I know the TT gaiter is round, so curious how its installed.

The gear knobs are not screwed on, they are held down with a jubilee clip so just take that off and it pulls up. Swap over the gaitors and then cable tie the knob back down again... Easy

Diggz thanks man! You have a good eye for detail there. Yh I want to get the interior bits all retrimmed eventually but I'm still on the lookout for my bargains and ways to get it done.
The my11 buttons I want to do but the fact there is no card tray and instead just a line of blanks has put me off it.

Yours is the my09. The my11 has a chrome strip going along the top and all the buttons are stuck to the fascia so it lines up properly

I'd really like the thicker steering wheel but they are ridiculously expensive, plus I'd have fitting on top because I'm a spacker

They shuld have fitted the thicker on by default, especially on the BE, the thin one is weedy...

As the item got down to the last few minutes i was watching like a hawk and you can guess my heart started racing as i never thought that this item would go for so cheap but i put my bid in and to my surprise i won this for just £171!

so here are the pics of what i just got from the postman (no kidding i only just opened it 5 mins ago and im here posting it as im soo pleased)

I took the address packaging off to reveal this:

after a little cutting and pulling i got to this:

then another 2 mins of cutting, pulling and tugging on the bubble wrap like a child on Christmas i got to this!:

Yes thats right a TTRS flat bottom wheel! the lovely chunky version! Its also from a manual so no need to mess about with removing flappy paddles. direct swap for my wheel

Now as soon as i source an airbag this wheel is going on my car and thus freeing up my current MFSW and airbag for sale.
I also have 2 MFSW for sale (link in my sig) and i have a Steering control module for anyone that wants to do the retrofit and needs the module changing.
If anyone is interested in taking my current mfsw off me or the other ones i have for sale just pm me

Looks mint mate love the red stitching, do you know whether the fbsw with paddles fits onto an a3 manual 6 speed ? And are the paddled removable dont mind if the rear looks a bit rough as there isnt a passenger seat on the dash lol

HI there, I am currently getting together all the bit needed to retrofit a mfsw into my a6 c5. I have retrofitted the rns-e perfectly with Bluetooth and now need to do the steering wheel retrofit to get full functionality. Has anyone on here performed this retrofit?

MY car currently does not have a mfsw, its a 2004 Audi a6 Avant 2.5tdi (04 plate). I have bought the "shield" designed mfsw with airbag. Would anyone be able to help me with the following:

What slip ring (part number) would I need to get that would both fit my steering and the new mfsw?

Would I need to get a steering wheel control module as I think my car has a 1 stage airbag and the new mfsw has 2 stage?

Would anybody be able to offer some fitting advice or instructions?

Anybody's help would be greatly appreciated.
