Has anyone / company thought about this doing it ?

My thinking here is that the D drive might be too soft and the S mode a bit too strong. I rarely use the S mode to be honest as I prefer the manual mode for those kind of things ?

Now my idea would be to reprogram the S mode for example to something more stronger than the D drive without going to the extreme of a S mode. (e.g. instead of shifting the gears at 7Krpm do it at 5rpm)

Is this a good idea ? Anyone feels the same ?

Will thbe box not shift up in sport mode if you lift the throttle, like an auto, or does it always hang on to the redline, everytime?

Depending on certain factors it will change up early on a light throttle opening. But there is a limit, i.e. it wont change up until at least 2,600ish revs on the TDI.

Havent had a rolling road yet, but i would presume peak torque would be at about 2500 rpm.
