Put new tyres on my A3 today. 4 new Goodyear 225/40R18 92Y F1 ASYMMETRIC 2
Bought them from Cheap Tyres Online | Winter Tyres | 4X4 Tyres | Tyre Traders UK £117 each delivered.
Had them fitted £12 per wheel (fitted, balanced, old tyre disposal) by SMR Tyres.
Can't fault the service from SMR, all wheels balanced to 0g. Will go back next week for tracking to be checked next week.
If your in the Chester area give them a go. :icon_thumright:
On the down side he gave me a quote for the same tyres supplied and fitted for around £120 per wheel.

i am not far from chester looking for some nankang sv2's for winter ill give them a call thanks

Great tyres, done over 6000 miles on them and very impressed. Good grip and much quieter than my previous Vredesteins.

Just had F1's fitted (3 weeks ago) and they are superb. Mine were 225/45/17 94Y at £114.57 each fitted. See this website :-

Good tyre.

Had the F1s before and it's a excellent all rounder.

I've gone over to Toyo R1Rs for warmer weather but will probably go back to F1s when the current set of Michelins are done.

Dude, I have a set of Hankook Ice Bears in 225/40/18 - done no more than 2,000 miles I'd be willing to sell, drop me a PM if interested.

Well a quick up date.

Having done 17000 miles on the Goodyear F1s there was still a couple of Mils left. I think they're great tyres for the A3; good grip, lasted well, and were reasonably quiet. So I will put another set on when I've had my wheels refurbished over winter.

In the meantime I've bought some Goodyear Ultra Grip 8s for the 16" alloy wheels I got of Ebay. (205/55/16 94V). Supplied and fitted by SMR Tyres www.wesellbrandedtyres.co.uk great service and price.
Impressions so far good quiet tyres, and got 58mpg over a 200mile journey home.

Probably wont snow now!
