Bleeding oil into NEW turbo!!

Just a quick question:
I have fitted a new turbo to my 2.0 tdi BKD engine and was wondering how to properly 'bleed' oil back through the turbo the correct way....if anyone could be of help it would be much appreciated

I turned the engine over (disconnected the engine loom connector on right hand side 1st so didnt fire up) to check the oil was flowing fine through the pipework, then done all the pipes up by the turbo, job done.

They say you should syringe some oil into the turbo before fixing the pipe to it, that way it doesnt run dry on initial spool.
