I have just bought a 2004 A3 Tdi Sport.
When I turn on the ignition the emission control system warning light comes on and stays on until I turn the engine over. It then disappears whilst driving and doesn't come back on. First photo below is when the ignition is on but engine not turning over. 2nd photo when turn over engine.
Is it normal for this to stay on before turning the engine over? Anyone know what it means and the likely problem?
The car just had a new turbo fitted as well.
