You may need VAG-COM to code for options such as multi-function steering wheel, Satellite radio, Bluetooth, Aux-in, CDchanger/Ipod dock or whatever other goodies you have.

As long as its a concert 2+ then its the same yes, but as Keith states, it will probably need coding for any options you may have in the car.

It should be fine with that age of car.

Concert 2+ was always labeled Concert 2 (without a '+'). This is confusing because that's also how the concert 2 was labeled...

But -in simple terms, 2008 or later should have the concert 2+ -No cassette deck, and a large screen... Quadlock connector on the back. Basically of the front panel layout is largely the same (with the only real difference I can think of being around the eject button on the CD slot) then it should be a straight swap.

-If the car it's coming from had the same options (steering wheel, satellite/digital radio, iPod dock etc) then you might not need any coding, but the unit will BASICALLY work either way (once the security code is entered!). -The only things which would be messed up would be stuff like the steering wheel controls not working, if it's not coded for MFSW and your car has one, or the digital radio not working if it's not coded for digital radio and your car has it... you know, that sort of thing.

But other than that, if the front panel layout is basically the same, then you have a 2+ (not sure if they were still using the older radios in the UK, but in the USA then any non-navigation cars were ALL concert 2+ or Symphony 2+ from 2008 onwards) then it's plug and play. Options will function depending on coding, at which point you should either give some beer to a local VCDS owner, or contact NHN about discovering the jo of VCDS ownership for yourself... -Trust me, it's worth it!
