Hi Guys

I am planning of upgrading my alloys and getting some 18 inch RS4s

Currently I have the standard S line alloys which are on sale here

these are 7.5J and i know the RS4s are 8J

Could you tell me if these will fit? will this make any difference on the ride/handling? and MPG?

Also my mate has an Audi Sport A3, he has the standard 7.5 17 inch alloys on. Would putting on 8j 18inch alloys on his affect the ride/MPG etc????

There won't be a noticeable difference in mpg. Your speedo might be very slightly off as the rolling radius of the wheel and tyre has changed (dependant on tyre size).

Check the offset (ET number) on the back of the rs4s. You need a number between 45 - 56 in order for the wheels to sit correctly in the arches.

Would offset of closer to 45 be better or closer to 56???

45 would make them closer to the arch, 56 further tucked in the arch.

The lower the offset (known as ET) the further the out it will poke towards the arch.

I use 18x8.5 ET42 lowered on Eibachs and have no rubbing/catching issues, even 4 up. You'll be fine.
