quick help regrading OFFSETS

hi i am on my way to buying some alloys,

my a3 is lowerd on H&R 50mm springs

what offsets should i be looking for?

the wheels i am going for are 8x18

If you want them close to flush then around 40 front and 35 rear I'd say. Although it depends on your tyre width choice too for clearance.

the tyre will be 225/40/18, i was told by the man in the shop that the alloys i am looking at are ET45 offset, will they be ok?, i just dont want any rubbing

ET 45 will sit slightly further in that I have suggested, giving you more clearance. They'll be fine.
