Ths engine mounts or Vibra Technics Engine Mounts

Hi i,m on stage 2+ on my s3 8p3 and have the ths mounts new sitting here but i,ve just seen the vibra technics mounts they look amazing , which ones are you using, or perfer... Cheers..

Hi boydie depends as some people dont bother , but while i get my clutch done i,m going put better mounts in ...

I had vibra on my TT and they were awesome, have had no experience of THS but can definitely say had no probs with vibra tech

If I remember,the VWRacing ones were about £500 all in,so not cheap but very solid.

If you weren't going the whole Stg3/4 hog,the THS set are cheaper and effective.

For any Stg2+ or above engine I think you need one or other of these to deal with the engine flapping around on the standard mounts.

But....do be prepared for a lot more engine thrash.

Fast road mounts.....they're pretty hard but the race ones are solid.

You really won't want those.....my Escort had solid mounts and it's like being a passenger in a cement mixer.

On the lower "dogbone" mount, I suggest using HPA core interlock in combination with the VF mount. JUst in case you're wondering...vibration is minimal

Interesting.

The only thing that would concern me is the bit about them being tested with a 280bhp car.

The VWRACING/Vibratechnics mounts are very solid things.

I really do like the look of the spec stage 3+ clutch , did you get the steel Or aluminum flywheel...

Steel...bit heavier and better for damping vibrations.

There was a problem with the first one they sent with tolerances on the splines so I'm waiting on a new one.

I'll have some feedback on the clutch soon as the replacement part has arrived and will be going in shortly along with full boost.
