Oil Min warnig - 2.0l TDI 170 Oil Grade/Spec?

Hi all,

My 2007 2.0l Tdi 170 Bleeped at me on the way to work with oil Min which I only hope isn't the rocker cover issue after new injectors!

Anyway car was serviced @ an independent prior to my purchase and is on Longlife plan currently.

What Make/grade of oil do i need to top it up?? Got a Halfrauds/motor factors or a VW garage on my way home...........

quantum longlife 111 from vw is all i use on audis
but if its just a top up it must be 5w30 longlife vw spec 507 .00

TPS (Trader Parts Specialists) sell the Long Life 3 oil quite cheap, it's in gold bottles.

Got some Castrol Edge on the way home all sorted. How much oil do the 2.0 l TDI's use??? i've never had to top oil up between services on any other motor i've had. But it is the first oil burner i've owned

to get from min to max will be approx 1 litre

capacity 4.5 litres

Nice one! how much oil do the 2.0l engines use is 1l since May normal ish?

Pretty much, mine has used 1L since 1st August (170 DSG)

Will vary car to car, don't think mine uses any!
